USS Mississinewa AO-59

The Log Book Project – bringing people together

The Log Book Project (TLBP) - created by Nick Devaux, son of WWII veteran Cyril Devaux, and assisted by Lars McKie. The TLBP consists primarily of Cyril Devaux' flight log book that his son Nick has shared with WWII veterans of all the combatants, for inclusion of their signature and stories inside. Lars McKie has helped, not only with this project, but also running USS Mississinewa photos though an enhancement/colorization project. The photos Lars has shared with us are now available on the USS Mississinewa website in the Gallery link.

Clicking on the Log Book Project image above will take you to their website where you can see the valuable work that's being done. In Nick's words, "I hope the most important legacy of TLBP serves to promote peace while highlighting war’s futility.  There is so much more that unites earth’s peoples than divides them if we choose to look beyond our biases and preconceived notions." (Much like the efforts of the USS Mississinewa Reunion group and the Kaiten Kenshokai group)
