My mother Barbara Mann Burns, his older sister, was the last of 7 children of Margaret and Henry Mann to pass away in 2009. My mother told me stories of the black-outs and how her younger brother, Lester, swimming through oil when the Mississinewa was sunk. Uncle Lester was a great guy and I am glad my Mom shared these memories with me, I am 47 and now live in the Merrimack Valley.
