My Grandpa Joseph Martino was aboard the Mississinewa when it was hit. He didn't speak much of it except to say he went to get a cup of coffee (he liked getting the first cup cause it was the best) and felt that saved him that day. He was a wonderful, loving Grandpa! My husband Jim wears the hat for me to respect my Grandfather to never forgot and be able to tell others of the history of the Mississinewa!
