A wonderful website dedicated to the service and sacrifice of this significant ship. I've long held an interest in the story of Mississinewa and her battle with the Kaitens - my grandfather was present in Ulithi on 20 November 1944 serving aboard USS Lexington (CV-16) and watched from afar as the drama unfolded; during my own naval service stationed in Japan I visited Otsushima and toured the somber Kaiten Museum.
