Sadly, we just found out that the sailor whom we believe was the last living survivor of the USS Mississinewa sinking has passed away. George Huss, former RM3c aboard the AO-59 passed away in his hometown of Lakewood, New Jersey, on March 8, 2025. He had just turned 19-years old
