Irving Goldstein, S2c – Photo

Irving Goldstein, S2c

Sam Goldstein, son of the late Irving Goldstein, S2c, recently shared his father's photo with us. Irving Goldstein was one of several sailors who initially reported aboard the Miss on 22 October 1944. Sam was only seven years old when his father was killed in the attack and sinking of the Miss. Irving Goldstein was interred at the cemetery on Asor Island and later re-interred at the National Memorial, Punchbowl, Honolulu, Hawaii.

  1. God Bless my grandfather, Irving, and my sweet father, Sam Goldstein, who NEVER had the chance to have what I have with my Dad. A lifetime of HAPPY memories. I’ve watched how the passing of this man, whom my father explains was the sweetest man he’d ever met, affected my Grandmother, as well as leaving my dad, when he was only 7 years old.
I’m looking forward to having my dad introduce me, when we meet in Heaven!
